Publius Ovidius Naso

Progenitor

Publius Ovidius Naso, better known as Ovid, was a poet during the glory days of the Roman Empire. He studied literature, oratory and law, and following a brief career as a lawyer he dedicated his life to poetry. More information about Ovid is available here.

Ovid was a wizard with words, skilled at describing situations, events and emotions. It was he who coined the phrase ‘Unable to see the wood for the trees’ (Frondem in silva non cernere) to describe having no overview due to an abundance of detail.

When clients are confronted with a legal issue, they often fail to see the wood for the trees. Which is understandable, because they usually need to focus on other matters.

Ovidius is a law firm with a clear and pragmatic approach. Our job is to ensure that clients can continue doing what the are good at and focusing on what is important to them, so they can see the wood for the trees again.
